Fillable forms have been added to our website to assist you in compiling the information necessary for us to prepare any forms 1099, W-2s, or year-end payroll reporting. They can be accessed by visiting our Helpful Resources page, under the Payroll Worksheets section. When you provide this information to us, you are authorizing us to e‐file your information returns.
We request that you have all necessary information to our office by January 8, 2024, to ensure delivery and processing prior to the January 31, 2024, due date.
Some things to keep in mind as you complete the worksheets:
- Please verify all information is accurate and current before forms are sent to our office.
- A current W‐9 form should be retained in your files to verify the identification numbers of 1099 recipients.
- If you use QuickBooks to process your payroll, please contact our office. We may request a copy of the QuickBooks file to process your forms.
- If you provide us with a QuickBooks file, please include the version and password.
- For more than 2% owners of an S corporation, please include amounts paid by the company for each shareholder’s health insurance as it should be included on the W‐2 form for the shareholder.
- For 1099 forms, please indicate the type of payment you made, i.e., interest, rent, or nonemployee compensation.
- We will provide client file copies of all forms to you for your records.
Updates for 2023
- Out office will mail the recipient’s copy directly to the recipient unless otherwise specified.
- Preparation rates this year will be $50.00 for the first two forms and $25.00 for each additional form.
- If the data you provide requires summarization, reconciliation, or amending, additional fees based on time required will apply in addition to the per-form charges.
Once completed, please select the “Upload File” option in the top right corner of this webpage and select “1099/W-2, Payroll” from the drop-down menu. Fill in your information and simply drag and drop the completed file(s) to the box that says “Drag Files Here.”
If you do not need to prepare 1099s or W‐2s for 2023, or are having the forms prepared elsewhere, please let us
know. This will eliminate any unneeded phone calls to you requesting information.
Thank you for letting us be of service to you this year. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact our office.
Sincerely yours,
